Who are Target Darts?

Target Darts was launched in 2006 with a mission to go a ‘step beyond’ and bring game-changing darts products that bring quality and innovation to players of all abilities. The Target brand has built a reputation for creating fresh and innovative products with a premium quality to the darting world, all designed to help players improve their game.

In 2014, the legendary 16-time world champion Phil Taylor signed a lucrative deal to join the brand’s roster of players. Three years later, Taylor’s great rival Raymond van Barneveld, the five-time world champion from the Netherlands, made the switch to Target. Over the years, Target have released many innovative darts products, including K-Flex, Omni and Swiss Points, which are now used worldwide by players of all abilities.

Now based at their Target Darts UK headquarters in Harlow, Essex, Target boasts a list of sponsored players that is a who’s who in the world of darts and is headlined by the teenage sensation Luke Littler. At the start of 2026, Littler signed a 10-year extension with the darts manufacturer, worth a reported £20 million, and he has also been managed by the brand since October 2025.

What makes Target Darts so popular?

Target Darts has become one of the most popular and recognisable brands in the world of darts, with their innovative range of products and player sponsorships helping to establish them as one of the industry leaders. The Target Omni is one of the leading auto scoring systems on the market, and the brand’s moulded flight and stem system K-Flex and interchangeable point range Swiss Points are also very popular with players of all levels.

Target’s list of sponsored players includes darts legends such as Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, Adrian Lewis and Paul Lim, while the brand also works in close collaboration with some of the top stars of the current era including Luke Littler, Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock, Beau Greaves and Nathan Aspinall. In January 2024, Littler became an almost overnight sporting phenomenon with his run to the final of the PDC World Darts Championship on his debut and at the age of just 16. ‘The Nuke’ has since gone on to dominate the PDC, winning multiple world titles and many other major titles and using Target products to reach the top of the sport.

How to choose your darts

There are several important factors to consider when choosing your darts. Whether you are throwing on a bristle dartboard (steel tip) or an electronic dartboard (soft tip), the darts you choose will mostly come down to personal preference and what feels right for you. A dart is made up of four elements (point, barrel, stem and flight), or three if you are using moulded flights. Newcomers to darts should first focus on choosing a barrel and consider the material, weight and grip level to find the perfect dart for your own game.

What darts do the pros use?

The Target Darts range includes a selection of player-endorsed darts that are used by professionals in PDC tournaments. Leading pro players such as Luke Littler, Beau Greaves and Josh Rock have worked in close collaboration with Target to design the signature darts they trust to help them perform at their best on the oche.

The Target dart Luke Littler uses are his signature Target Luke Littler Gen 1 Darts in 23g. The 2024/25 and 2025/26 PDC World Darts Championship winner has used these darts in many of his major tournament wins, with the barrels designed by Target to meet his exact requirements. The Gen 1 Darts are made of 90% tungsten and feature a multi-grip barrel profile, which includes dual pixel tip at the front and centre and fine radial grooves at the rear. The barrels are complete with a black PVD performance enhancing coating and extra re-machining to further highlight the dual pixel tip technology.

Littler also uses Target K-Flex, the brand’s moulded flight system, with his Gen 1 darts. The integrated flight and stem setup is growing in popularity, with Littler one of many players on the PDC tour opting away from the more traditional flight and stem system in favour of the moulded option.
