Wayne Mardle is among the leading voices in world darts after moving fully into a role with Sky Sports as a pundit and commentator. ‘Hawaii 501’ first rose through the ranks in the BDO as a player, winning the prestigious Dutch Open in 2000, before appearing in the first of five World Championship semi-finals at Lakeside a year later.

Mardle switched over to the PDC and reached three major finals, including the World Matchplay in 2003, and participated in four of the first five editions of the Premier League. Mardle was a fans’ favourite during his playing days for wearing Hawaiian shirts and his interactions with the crowd.
