Gary Anderson Darts by Unicorn

A popular Gary Anderson dart from Unicorn is the Unicorn Gary Anderson Phase 6. These darts are made of 90% tungsten and are complete with Unicorn Gripper shafts and Anderson’s own AR2 World Champion flights. This Gary Anderson darts set comes in a deluxe presentation box and are the sixth generation of his darts designed and manufactured by Unicorn.

The Phase 6’s are the same type of tungsten steel tip darts that Anderson uses to play with and are also available in weights ranging from 21g to 25g, so they can cater for players who have a different preference of weight for their darts.

The full range includes Gary Anderson darts for sale in both steel tip and soft tip, along with a collection of accessories such as flights, cases and accessory kits. The Gary Anderson Noir Darts also feature on this page, including the Phase 5’s in steel tip and soft tip.

Gary Anderson FAQ’s

Is Gary Anderson still playing darts?

After dropping out of the top 16 on the PDC Order of Merit at the end of the 2022-23 season, Gary Anderson has enjoyed a comeback year in 2023 winning multiple titles on the professional darts circuit.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ has won three Players Championship titles and also partnered up with Peter Wright to reach the final of the World Cup of Darts. He finished the 2023 ProTour season back inside the top 16 on the ProTour Order of Merit, giving him automatic qualification for the first batch of European Tour events in 2024.

What darts does Gary Anderson use now?

The darts Gary Anderson currently uses are his signature Unicorn Gary Anderson Darts Phase 6’s in 23g. The Phase 6’s have been designed specifically for him and feature 90% tungsten barrels with Unicorn shafts and his own signature Gary Anderson flights.

These darts have two blue painted rings around the front of the barrel to indicate Anderson’s two World Championship titles. The barrels also include two coordinated grip zones, as chosen by Anderson himself, and are complete with an engraved Unicorn logo.

How old is Gary Anderson?

Born on December 22, 1970, Gary Anderson celebrates his 53rd birthday in the final days of 2023 – a year which saw him get back to title-winning ways on the PDC circuit, picking up three Players Championship victories during the season.

Anderson used to run a pub called The Wellington Arms in Rooksbridge, Somerset, before he started his career as a professional darts player. He first picked up a set of darts at the age of 24 and soon started to play in local leagues and tournaments, including Super League with Mussleborough and county darts with East Lothian and East Stirlingshire.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ made his World Championship debut in the BDO back in 2002 at the Lakeside, reaching the semi-finals a year later in 2003, before winning some of their most prestigious events, such as the International Darts League, World Darts Trophy and Zuiderduin Masters. He switched over to the PDC in 2009 and has gone on to put together a hall of fame calibre CV, lifting major silverware on multiple occasions.

Gary Anderson Career Highlights

In January 2015, Gary Anderson fulfilled his darting dreams by winning the PDC World Championship for the first time. In a dramatic final at London’s Alexandra Palace, the Scot edged past the 16-time world champion Phil Taylor in a last-set decider. Anderson had saw off the then reigning champion Michael van Gerwen 6-3 in the semi-finals, before overcoming the legendary Taylor 7-6 to become a world champion – and the first from Scotland in the PDC’s version of the tournament.

Just 12 months later, Gary Anderson made more history as he became only the third player to successfully defend the PDC World Championship title. ‘The Flying Scotsman’ got the better of Adrian Lewis 7-5 in the final to win his second world title. In a rematch of the 2011 final at Alexandra Palace, Anderson checked out 170 in the penultimate leg before hitting double 12 to retain the title. He followed in the footsteps of Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis in becoming a back-to-back world champion in the PDC system.

In July 2018, Gary Anderson achieved perfection with a nine-dart finish during an all-time classic encounter with Joe Cullen at the World Matchplay. Anderson completed the perfect leg in just the fourth leg of the match, before going on to win their quarter-final clash 19-17 in extra time. He went on to win the title at the Winter Gardens, edging past Mensur Suljovic 21-19 in the final in one of the most memorable matches in the history of the tournament.
